What does SWARECO actually do?
We are a managed engineering company. We build, run, and grow your software from the inside, handling everything from architecture and development to QA, delivery structure, and ongoing maintenance. Think of us as your engineering department without the overhead of hiring one.
What's the difference between SWARECO and a freelance developer or a dev agency?
SWARECO takes full ownership of your engineering function. Unlike freelancers or dev shops, we provide technical leadership, structured Agile delivery, QA, and AI-assisted development workflows. You're not managing a contractor. You have a full engineering system working for you.
Can you build AI features into our product?
Yes. SWARECO builds LLM-powered features as part of normal product work — AI agents, document processing pipelines, knowledge bases and conversational interfaces — using OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini models, with RAG and vector databases where retrieval accuracy matters. It is engineering work with a model in the loop, scoped and tested like any other feature.
What AI work do you take on, and what do you avoid?
We take on AI that solves a specific operational problem: extracting data from documents, answering questions over your own content, routing or classifying work, and automating steps that are currently manual. We avoid AI added for positioning rather than outcome. SWARECO is an engineering company that ships AI-era software, not an AI company — the model is a component, and the engineering around it is what makes it reliable.
Can you automate business processes using AI?
Yes, and the sequence matters. Map the workflow first, automate the deterministic steps with conventional code, then apply AI to the parts that genuinely need judgement — reading unstructured documents, classifying requests, drafting content for review. Putting a model where a rule would do is how automation projects become expensive and unpredictable.
Our product was built with AI coding tools and it is falling apart. Can you help?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons companies come to SWARECO now. AI-generated codebases typically ship fast and then stall: no consistent architecture, no test coverage, and no one who understands why anything works. We assess what is salvageable, stabilise it, and rebuild the layers that cannot carry the product forward, rather than starting over by default.
How do you use AI inside your own development process?
Deliberately, and we measure it. Our engineering team runs a multi-model workflow — different models for architectural planning, implementation and long-context analysis — with automated code review in CI and human review required on every change. We published the internal study behind it. AI makes our reviews faster, our QA tighter and our documentation cleaner; it does not replace engineering judgement, and we do not use it to cut corners.
